Dear FOLKS,
On my 16th birthday my folks gave me three jet black miniature poodle puppies. What fun they were too. Apparently my parents couldn't decide on which puppy to choose when they went puppy shopping, so they arranged to purchase the whole litter. Can you imagine?

This photo was taken in September, 1962 at what was then the family home in Stanton, California. My Dad was the photographer. I would eventually pick the puppy that was called George. I can't tell you while looking at this photo which one's George. But aren't they cute?
George would live a long pampered life. He never turned into the silver he was supposed to become; staying a jet black his entire life, give or take the gray muzzle hairs old age would give him.

Darlene,
