Ed's Day Wednesday
Dear FOLKS,
Here it is Wednesday and I want to continue to share the stories and family research provided by my late cousin, Edwin J. Ostrom. Recently we wrapped up the story of Gurine Marie Thomasdatter and as we said good-bye to her, we also closed Ed's third generation. Next I will introduce you to the first person in the next generation. With this person we begn to learn about the individuals in Ed's 2x great-grandparents generation. For Ed this begins ancestors in generation #5.
I am also VERY pleased to introduce this person as Ed and I share Ommund as an ancestor.
So with a drum roll...... let me introduce you to Ommund Ommundsen Østrem (1820-1895). Ommund was Ed's 2x great-grandfather and my 3x great-grandfather. Ommund is #16 on Ed's Name List and he married #17 AnnaMalene Andreasdatter in 1850.

This tree is 'synced' with his tree I keep on my desktop copy of Family Tree Maker, version 2017. I used the report publishing function and created an Individual Report for Ommund Ommundsen.
The source list that is provided by Family Tree Maker is not presented in the format suggested by the book "Evidence Explained." This book's author is Elizabeth Shown Mills and in it she defines a format to cite a source that has become the standard format for genealogists to use. I am trying to complete the citations in the standard format, but as I am still a beginner, there are going to be mistakes found.
