Welcome back. It is again Wednesday and I am here to continue sharing the stories, highlights and family research information collected by my late cousin Edwin J. Ostrom. This week we'll introduce Anna Olsdatter Stavaas, who is #11 on Ed's genealogy names list. Anna Olsdatter Stavaas was another of Ed Ostrom's great-grandmothers. Anna was his father's mother's mother. She is the next person on Generation #4 (Great-Grandparents) in cousin Ed's Ancestor Chart. Anna married Tosten Andreassen Brekke, another Norwegian immigrant, whom we recently learned about. Let me tell you more about Anna.

2. According to her grandson Aarvid Ostrom, Anna milked cows on the boat to earn passage. Anna and her brother Ole emigrated from Norway on the same boat.
