Hello Everyone. Happy Blogiversary to us!
Over the weekend we passed another milestone at HomeFOLK Tales when we passed the second anniversary of when I started this blog. I couldn't have done it without YOU! Thank you so much for being faithful readers.

I collected some statistics about this blog-site to share with you. Excluding this article, there have now been 195 articles published. These have been mostly posted on Mondays or Wednesdays.
As you may remember, I started this blog to honor my family history research buddy, who was also my cousin, Ed Ostrom (1844-2015). Ed's action challenged me to begin writing. I think we have done exactly what he would have liked.
Since it began, HomeFOLK Tales has had 29,182 views. I am blown away by that number. At the end of our first year, we had just passed 10,000 views, so the growth was almost 200%. Amazing....
Most of those page views are from Facebook. Which doesn't surprise me because I have purposefully kept the distribution narrowed to my family, friends and the Genealogy Bloggers group there and Google+ and my circles there. These are the individuals and web locations where I send invitations. I am sure I get an occasional visitor from a general browser search, but they have to narrowly search or a name or location I wrote about.
Speaking of browsers, the top three used are:
1. Chrome
2. Firefox
3. Mobile
Some of you may be interested in learning that of the operating systems were likely running portable devices as the top three systems were:
1. MacIntosh
2. Android
3. Windows
Where in the world are these page views being made? It is fun to learn about the global locations where the majority of you readers live. Here are the top ten:
1. USA: 26,500
2. Norway: 1006
3. Canada: 620
4. Ireland: 108
5. Luxembourg: 99
6. Australia: 92
7. France: 52
8. United Kingdom: 43
9. Austria: 38
10. Belgium: 16
The three most viewed posts are these articles:
1. #10 -- Tosten Andreassen Brekke (1853-1940), this article was published on February 22, 2017 and there have been 408 page views
2. Amanuensis Monday - Birth Certificate for Henry W. Johnson (1896-1972), this article was posted on February 20, 2017 and has had 409 views
3. Amanuensis Monday - Marriage Record for Culbertson and Johnson (née Haner), this article was posted on February 6, 2017 and has had 360 views.
February was a popular month as all three above were posted then. But like most months there were 800-1000 page views. During the spring of 2017, more were taking the time to read the posts here and the months that were over 1000 were:
* March -- 2,064 views
* April -- 5,483 views
* May -- 4,024 views

So let me say, "Thank you all!!" for continuing to stick with me and helping me along the way getting these family stories told. It has been another fun year of successes and learning adventures.
In this next year, I hope to set-up some organization to the main blog design, with a menu, listing or possibly tabs containing a break down of topics. More on that will be forthcoming as I start the work there. I look forward to another year of publications, making more family connections and bringing you the stories our ancestors made. Your ideas on a subject or topic not yet covered are always welcome.
You are the reason this blog exists, so again THANK YOU!!! I hope you have a great week.
